Jeff Holland, OLB

Jeff Holland has probably already done enough to make the Broncos’ final roster.

He drew rave reviews from defensive coordinator Joe Woods coming out of OTAs, and by all accounts has had a strong camp and preseason as well.

So what does Holland need to do in this fourth preseason game?

He has to force the Broncos to make a very important roster decision.

Do they keep five edge rushers and go with just three traditional off-ball linebackers?

Do they trade someone?

The Broncos have to play the long-term game with Holland here. There is a chance the Broncos could lose both Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett this coming offseason. Therefore, Holland’s presence on the roster going forward is very necessary.

If he has a big game, the Broncos have a player under team control for the next few seasons who can provide great depth off the edge.
