The Denver Broncos made a couple of roster moves on the final day of mini-camp as they have waived Nick Stevens and Christian Kuntz.

As the Denver Broncos wrapped up mini-camp on Thursday, the team made some transactions as they begin the long summer break.

Denver has decided to go into training camp with only three quarterbacks. Nick Stevens was waived by the team. The move had me scratching my head. Reason being that the other three quarterbacks saw their reps decrease with a fourth quarterback. So, why bring him in if they were going to release him one month after signing him?

You could make an argument that the Broncos liked what they saw from the three quarterbacks that having Nick Stevens on during training camp would prove fruitless. Either way, the Broncos are going with Case Keenum, Paxton Lynch, and Chad Kelly when training camp begins.

Denver also waived long snapper Christian Kuntz. This is one that makes sense. Casey Krieter has pretty much won the long snapper job, to no surprise. Having another long snapper on the roster would have made no sense.

With both of these players getting waived and Deiontrez Mount out for the year, that will leave three roster spots open. With training camp over a month away, the Broncos have time to find players to fill those spots. Fortunately, the Broncos have some depth in almost every position.

With two injured linebackers, look for John Elway to find a linebacker to add depth to the position. With Shane Ray set to be out until the regular season, it will be important to find that depth.

Denver will begin training camp sometime in July. It remains to be seen if there are any moves made in between that time. But we all know Elway will construct a team that can hopefully make it back to the Super Bowl.
