The Denver Broncos used their second sixth round draft pick on Washington’s inside linebacker Keishawn Bierria. How can he impact the roster?

Another inside linebacker has made his way into the Denver Broncos organization by way of the draft. Broncos Country, I would like to introduce you to Washington Huskie Keishawn Bierria. The Broncos used their second sixth round draft pick on the now former Huskie.

Earlier in the draft, the Broncos selected Josey Jewell in the fifth round, who I pointed out should make an impact on the roster right away. So, what does Keishawn Bierria bring to the table?

According to a scouting report by Gabey Lucas over at UW Dawg Pound, his play has been quite consistent as a linebacker. However, his celling is limited. The reasoning behind it is due to his physical abilities. He had some moments where he got beat during coverage.

Despite this, I believe he can help contribute in some way. He could be used in certain situations for the defense. From what I have seen, his consistency can really come in handy.

How will he impact the Denver Broncos roster? The best case scenario for him will likely be on special teams. The Broncos are always looking for players that can help in that department. As long as he can fix the missteps on his coverage and can tackle well, he might be a solid addition.

My thoughts are that he could be a camp body or end up on the practice squad once training camp begins. But if he can show some solid play during the preseason, he might be able to get the nod at practice squad.

As long as he is a member of the Denver Broncos, I wish him nothing but the best and hope that he can succeed. Welcome to Broncos Country!
