After bolstering the offense with playmakers, the Denver Broncos transport back to the defense and draft depth at cornerback with Isaac Yiadom.

Denver Broncos Justin Simmons will be happy knowing his team drafted one of his Boston College teammates. Cornerback Isaac Yiadom is a great developmental defensive player that brings physicality and has value to grow with the team. Yiadom’s upside is another versatile piece to play corner or safety.

One the best traits of Yiadom is doing the dirty work. Cornerbacks that present no issues with cleaning up a run or finishing a play is perfect for Denver. Yiadom is aggressive which leads him to be inconsistent at times. However, Yiadom is a gifted athlete. Yiadom ran a 4.5 and jumped 120 inches in the broad.

Brendan Langley has plenty of traits to admire and is developing in his own right. Yiadom will add competition for him right away. This can rise the level of play immediately and grow relationships. Yiadom is a player to monitor as we head closer to training camp.

Tramaine Brock was signed to add depth at number three cornerback. However, do not be shocked if either Isaac Yiadom or Brendan Langley is challenging for that spot come camp. It is easy to get attached to picks because they have to perform and show it first and foremost. One thing is for certain the 5-11 did get better on day one and day two of the NFL Draft.
