The Denver Broncos have traded Aqib Talib to the Los Angeles Rams. Here is their updated 2018 NFL Draft order following the trade…

The Denver Broncos have traded cornerback Aqib Talib to the Los Angeles Rams, reportedly for a fifth round draft pick.

While the dust settles from the trade and a move that was long anticipated this offseason, the Broncos’ draft order has been updated and is now up to a whopping 11 selections when this trade becomes officially official on March 14th, the first day of the new league year.

Let’s take a look at the updated draft order for the Broncos with the Rams’ fifth round pick added in:

1st round: 5th overall
2nd round: 40th overall
3rd round: 71st overall
3rd round (compensatory pick): 99th overall
4th round: 106th overall
4th round (from 49ers): 109th overall
5th round: 142nd overall
5th round (from Rams): 160th overall
5th round (from Falcons): 163rd overall
6th round: 182nd overall
7th round: 225th overall

That’s a pretty great looking draft haul and as of right now, the Broncos have some flexibility with what they can do here.

There are talks that they will move one of those fifth round picks potentially for Washington Redskins safety/linebacker Su’a Cravens. Though Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said they are not trading Cravens, Mike Klis has reported those talks are not dead.

The Broncos could also utilize some of their mid-round picks to move up in the first or second round, or they could trade those picks off for future picks as well.

This is a critical offseason for the Broncos to reload and rebuild their roster, so all 11 of these picks are going to be critical. John Elway has not done a great job hitting on offensive draft picks in specific, so this draft class should be expected to lean a little heavier on the offensive side.
