Shaquem Griffin put on a show at the NFL Scouting Combine. His performance drew the interest of the Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller.

At the scouting combine, the Denver Broncos are looking for the next set of players to bring aboard to Broncos Country. One name that could draw some interest is University of Central Florida linebacker Shaquem Griffin.

Super Bowl 50 proved that defense does win championships. Perhaps having a player like Shaquem Griffin could help this defense get back to “championship status” once again.

Griffin has been through a lot in his life, but he put on one of the best performances at the NFL Scouting Combine. He was able to bench press 20 times, which is impressive. But perhaps his best work came at the 40 yard dash, when he ran a 4.38.

Over the weekend, he has gained the attention of a lot of scouts and teams. One player in particular that was interested is Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller.

Shaquem Griffin has found motivation in Von Miller in his quest to become NFL bound. Griffin mentions how he wants to emulate the Vonster.

“Watching his pass rush is unbelievable. The way he uses his speed, the way he uses his power, it reminds me of myself because he just has an amazing first step. He’s very explosive, and he’s light on his feet. I mean, he has cleats with feathers on them.”

There is never anything wrong with obtaining a pass rusher. Perhaps the Denver Broncos take a closer look at Shaquem Griffin. A projected day three pick, I would like to see Denver try and draft him.

With his combine performance, he will draw the interest of quite a few teams. The big question is who will pull the trigger? We will know next month.
