Free Agency is going to be an important time period for the Denver Broncos. With that said, they will need as much money as they can to get some key pieces.

If the Denver Broncos have any plans on obtaining some key pieces to make a run at the playoffs, they will need as much money to work with as they can. There are some big contracts that could end up deciding the fate of some players on the roster.

If Denver is going to get a guy like Kirk Cousins or other keys members, the cap space is going to be critical. Some roll over money could help Denver’s situation a bit. Denver can expect a little over ten million dollars in rollover cap this offseason.

The exact number should be at $10.2 million. For a start, it is a solid amount. That alone could get the ball rolling.

Having that extra money helps the Denver Broncos decide where to go, at least early on. If they trim off some of the bulk of the contracts, it could turn into a solid amount. The salary cap is expected to be in the range of $174 to $178 million. Having that extra ten million could go a long way for the Broncos. The salary cap announcement will come in March.

Honestly, I do not see the Denver Broncos getting any key players unless their are some cuts that happen. The most intriguing will be which contracts could go? There are a few players on the roster who have opt outs in their contracts this offseason. That could help decide a lot of futures on the roster.

We should know in the coming weeks what the cap space will look like. Hoping that the $10.2 million will be a good start for the Denver Broncos.
