With the hire of Eric Studesville in Miami, could Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson find himself playing for the Miami Dolphins next year?

The 2018 Denver Broncos could have a new look when everything is said and done in regards to free agency and the draft. C.J. Anderson might have himself a new home as well, despite his productive year.

The Miami Dolphins hired Eric Studesville as their running backs coach on Wednesday. It was such a shame to see such a great coach get relieved of his duties. However, it happens to be that way. We wish him the best of luck in Miami.

This new hire could provide some intrigue with a current Denver Broncos running back on the roster. C.J. Anderson just completed his first 1,000 yard season of his career. He could be a big time name in the future. Perhaps Miami could be his next destination. It would make sense since the Dolphins tried to pry him away from Denver two years ago.

It could make sense to both parties as well. According to Sportrac, the Denver Broncos have an opt out in Anderson’s contract during the 2018 offseason where they could cut Anderson without losing any money. If the Denver Broncos truly believed that they could utilize Devontae Booker and De’Angelo Henderson in their running game, it would not surprise me to see them take this move.

Denver could decide to trade or release Anderson during the offseason. Either way, it would not cost the Broncos any money, as long as they did it before the deadline. It would also free up nine million dollars for the team to pursue other free agents.

Will it happen? Anything can happen in the NFL. But this move would not be surprising to me at all.
