The Denver Broncos are planning for 2018 and beyond. And it appears as if Brock Osweiler is not in the plans for the team moving forward.

The quarterback position is going to be a big objective to look at in Broncos Country. Brock Osweiler, one of the two quarterbacks who helped get the Broncos to Super Bowl 50, will not be a part of the plans.

On the Orange and Blue 760 Radio Show with Tyler Polumbus and Andy Lindhl, Mike Klis says that the Denver Broncos will let Brock Osweiler walk and won’t re-sign him in the offseason. This comes as no surprise as Brock Osweiler was ineffective for most of his second stint with the team.

Osweiler was brought back to Denver shortly before the regular season began. The team only had Trevor Siemian on the roster who was healthy going into the season opener. With Paxton Lynch sidelined and Chad Kelly nowhere close to seeing the field, the Broncos saw an opportunity and took it.

The return of Brock Osweiler was a huge letdown. He was winless in his four starts against the Eagles, Patriots, Bengals, and Redskins. He did help lead the team to a win in Indianapolis. But that was as good as it got for Osweiler.

With earlier indications that the Broncos are looking for a trading partner for Trevor Siemian, this means that Lynch and Kelly would be the only two quarterbacks on the roster. However, not even Paxton Lynch’s job is safe.

Brock Osweiler brought us some solid games during the Super Bowl 50 run. However, for some reason, he has struggled in the last two years. At least we know he will be okay financially.

The quarterback situation is getting pretty interesting here. Who will be under center in 2018? Only time will tell.
