The Denver Broncos seek 1st road win of the season Thursday against the Colts at Indianapolis. In Week 14, they posted their 1st shutout in 12 years, a 23-0 win against the New York Jets. With plenty of great things going on this past week, Thursday’s game is a chance for more.

Finally, Denver won the turnover battle, winning their 32nd straight game in doing so. This NFL record continues. If the Broncos execute, they can pull out their 33rd straight such game. The Jets game confirmed to me that execution really is the key with this team.

Quarterback Trevor Siemian is not the answer long-term. If he doesn’t turn the ball over & get points, the Broncos will always have a chance.

The defense still rocks. It is 1st in yards given up, 2nd in yards per play, 3rd against the run & 2nd against the pass. Even with strong safety Justin Simmons lost for the season Sunday, Jamal Carter stepped in and all was well.

Speaking of injuries, here’s this week’s list:

If star NT Domata Peko can go, and we’ll see as we get closer to kickoff, the Broncos will benefit. The Colts’ offense remains one of the worst units in the league.

Nevertheless, on the film, I like what I’ve seen from certain pieces. Tailback Frank Gore remains a stud while quarterback Jacoby Brissett and Marlon Mack are rising stars. Receiver Chester Rogers has also shown glimpses of greatness.

However, the Colts generally remain an enigma. It’s astounding how ailing star quarterback Andrew Luck has been handled. Star Indianapolis meteorologist Lindsay Riley has this evening’s forecast:

Despite the roof being closed, she went to the trouble to give it to me. Thanks Lindsay! Anyway, this is your game thread. If any Colts fans happen upon us, treat them kindly. This is, of course, the Broncos’ way. GO BRONCOS!!!
