Coming in for Paxton Lynch, Trevor Siemian got the Denver Broncos close. However, it was not in the cards. The loss is Denver’s seventh straight.

For the first time since 1967, the Denver Broncos have lost seven games in a row. Only the Broncos fans since the birth of the team most likely remember that moment. However, it wasn’t without an edge of the seat performance for the last five minutes of the game.

Paxton Lynch injured his ankle in the third quarter of the game in his third start of his career. With him out, it was up to Trevor Siemian to try to salvage anything from a putrid performance. At least he made things interesting.

While we did see some issues involving Trevor Siemian, he led the Broncos to two quantity drives that ended in touchdowns. The Broncos just needed one more stop on third down to get the ball back with a little less than two minutes to go. However, a house blitz allowed Derek Carr to find an open receiver. And that is how the game would end.

If there is one thing I have learned, Brendan Langley did not help out his cause. He was beat twice for touchdowns. The Aqib Talib ejection was one of the causes of the loss. Not having one of the best players on the team can really impact a team.

It will be interesting to see how the MRI goes for Paxton Lynch on his ankle. But if Lynch can’t go for a period of time, Trevor Siemian could be the team’s best option. He was the starting quarterback for the Broncos three wins.

Denver will travel to Miami to face the Dolphins next Sunday. The team is now at 3-8 on the season.
