Through four games, the Denver Broncos are at 3-1. How has Trevor Siemian looked at the quarter mark of the season? I weigh in on his performance.

Trevor Siemian has been named the Denver Broncos starting quarterback for the 2017 season. He beat out Paxton Lynch for the job. I have no doubt that he earned the job.

The biggest question is would he be able to hold on to the job? I am going to look into his performance from the first four games of the season.

SIemian has completed 62.7 percent of his passes for 888 yards. That has come with seven touchdown passes and four interceptions. He also ran for a touchdown in the first game of the season against the Chargers. His quarterback rating for the season thus far is at 89.0. Statistic wise, those are some decent numbers.

From what I have seen in the first four games, I can see he has improved quite a bit. There are some areas in his game that could use some improvement.

One of the biggest things I would like to see him improve on is his ability to scan the field and find that second and third receiver. There have been a few times that we have seen Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders wide open. Hopefully, that comes with more experience.

I do like how Trevor Siemian has legs and can take off if needed. That could come in handy if his receivers are covered. The biggest thing that I have seen from Trevor is that he has taken some chances and thrown the ball deep.

Next: Should Allen Barbre start on the Offensive Line?

With everything I have seen from Trevor Siemian after four weeks of football, he has done some good things and some things that he needs to work on. The good thing is that he has 12 football games to improve. If he can show some improvement, I have no doubt he will be leading the Denver Broncos to the playoffs.
