The Raiders and Broncos square off in what will be the biggest early season game for both teams. What will it take to get a Raiders win in Denver?

I think it must start with Derek Carr. He needs his first great game of the season. Though he had been an accurate passer in the first two games, he hasn’t looked comfortable in stretching the field so far this season. If he wants to lead the Silver and Black to a division title, he has to bounce back after a rough outing. He’ll have to outplay Trevor Siemian and hope Khalil Mack and the defense can get a few key third-down stops.

Is there one player on the Raiders roster that not a lot of fans know about that we should keep an eye on Sunday?

I’d say this. Though you are probably familiar with Cordarrelle Patterson when he was with the Minnesota Vikings the last four years, he’s being used in a bunch of different ways with this Raiders team. Oakland realizes that he’s not an elite pass catcher, but is a dangerous weapon as soon as he gets the ball in his hands. Look for him to return kicks, possession receive on short-to-intermediate routes and even take some carries out of the backfield. He’s good for a splash play a game. His new role with the team has to make you wonder why the Vikings couldn’t make it work with him.
