With the Denver Broncos taking on the Buffalo Bills, we chat with BuffaLowDown and get their takes on the Bills and the game on Sunday.

The first road game of the 2017 season is almost here. The Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills will do battle at New Era Field. It will be the first AFC opponent the Broncos have faced outside of their division.

Buffalo is a tricky place to play. The atmosphere and the fanbase is quite intriguing to take in. I know that I am excited to see how the game is played between two teams with solid defenses.

Can Trevor Siemian continue his strong start to the season? Will the running game perform well against the Buffalo front seven? Is the No Fly Zone ready to restrict the passing game?

We will have to wait and see. For the moment, let us go into enemy territory. I got a chance to talk to Connor Price over at BuffaLowDown and get his takes on the Buffalo Bills. We also chatted about Sunday’s contest.

Let us see what he has to day.

The Buffalo Bills suffered a tough loss to the Carolina Panthers. What do you believe was the main reason that the team struggled?

When the team can’t get their ground game going then they struggle to move the ball. The Buffalo Bills have one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, but they won’t be able to win a game if they have to rely solely on Tyrod Taylor’s arm.

A tough schedule has begun with Buffalo as they go three weeks playing teams that were in the last two Super Bowls. What is going to be key for the Bills to maintain their mentality for this tough stretch?

It is all mental toughness at this point. The Bills took care of the Jets and now they get to see how good they are against some great teams like the Broncos and Panthers. If the defense can keep us in this game, more importantly the secondary, then the high energy mentality that the Bills possess will stay consistent throughout this tough stretch.

Tyrod Taylor has entered his third year as the starting quarterback. If he is the franchise quarterback, what pieces do you think the Bills need to give him that support to get the team back into the playoffs?

If the team is going to move forward with Tyrod Taylor as their quarterback then they need a deep threat on the team. Zay Jones is a rookie and is learning quickly, but he is developing slower than most Bills fans predicted. The departure of Sammy Watkins left a gaping hole in the WR depth chart that has yet to be filled.

The Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills square off on Sunday. What’ll be key for the Bills to get a win against a team that seems to be clicking right now?

The only thing that can really affect teams that have been rolling on offense is to get to the quarterback. The Broncos have a great defense and a great receiving corps., but if we can rush the passer and force him to make short throws then the Bills may be able to create some turnovers. It is an uphill battle, but the blitz will be coming.

Is there one player on the Bills roster that not a lot of people know that could make an impact during the game?

Safety, Jordan Poyer has been a force on defense the past two weeks. He came out of nowhere this year, but people should know his name now.

Thank You Connor for taking the time out to chat with me. If you want to see what he and the rest of the staff at BuffaLowDown are up to, you can check it out here.
