The Denver Broncos have announced nine players that will be a part of the team’s practice squad going into the 2017 season.

Well, what a weekend it was for the Denver Broncos and the rest of the NFL. Roster cuts, re-signings, practice squads. It means we are just a few days away from the start of the season. The Broncos will see the field on Monday September 11th against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Now we will get to meet the ten players who will help the 53-man roster get ready for the game. The Practice Squad is assembled of ten players. There have been some instances where the practice squad players could come up to the active roster.

But for the time being, they will be doing what they can in order to help the Broncos start Week One with a win.

Here is a list of the players that will be a part of the practice squad.

OT Elijah Wilkinson

DT Tyrique Jarrett

OL Dillon Day

CB Marcus Rios

S Dymonte Thomas

TE Austin Traylor

WR Hunter Sharp

LB Deiontrez Mount

ILB Jerrol Garcia-Williams

There is still room for one more player on the practice squad at the time of this writing. We will provide who the tenth player on the practice squad is when it becomes available.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment is Kyle Sloter will not be on the list. He accepted an offer to join the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad. I wish him the best.

This list of players is quite a good set. Three players stick out to me here. Hunter Sharp, Tyrique Jarrett, and Dymonte Thomas made some solid plays during the preseason.

Next: T.J. Ward Thanks Broncos Country

I would not be surprised if Tyrique Jarrett ended up on the active roster at any point this season. Baby Pot Roast can surely play.

The players are set, for now. And now we begin the countdown to the 2017 Denver Broncos season. Hoping for a season full of excitement. Bring on the football season.
