The injury bug continues to bite the Denver Broncos as Jared Crick suffered a back injury. However, it was not as serious as it looked.

Jared Crick was looking to compete for a starting gig on the Denver Broncos defensive line. However, it appears as if he will be forced to sit out for a bit.

That pesky injury bug has bitten once again. This time, it was Jared Crick who fell victim. During practice on Monday, it appeared as if he hurt his leg. The cart was brought out and he was not putting any pressure on his leg. The worse was assumed.

However, during the after practice media meet, Vance Joseph said it looked like back spasms for Crick. Then, later reported by Mike Klis, the injury to Crick was not as serious as originally thought.

While there is still uncertainty to the extent of the injury, Jared Crick will be forced to miss one to two weeks. With that time table, he should be able to return for the regular season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers.

I am not sure how many more injuries Denver Broncos fans can bare before it forces them to develop grey hairs. It just seems as if the injuries keep piling on. It will be a miracle if the Broncos can field a team for the season opener at this point.

With Jared Crick sidelined, look for Adam Gotsis and Zach Kerr to take advantage of the added reps. Both of them are looking to make some noise this season and the next two weeks are the perfect time to do so.

The game comes with injuries. Let us just hope that this is the last of them for a while. Wishing Jared Crick a speedy recovery. Hope to see him back on the field soon.
