The Broncos open up their preseason against the Chicago Bears on Thursday. Garett Bolles will be out there with the first team as the starting left tackle.

Garett Bolles has been very impressive in practice. He has gone up against the best in Von Miller and Shane Ray. His performance during training camp has earned him the right to some first team reps on Thursday.

Denver will be releasing a depth chart on Monday. According to Nicki Jhabavla, Garett Bolles will suit up and play with the first team against the Chicago Bears.

Bolles was taken in the first round by the Denver Broncos back in April. From what has been seen in practice, Bolles has performed like a first round gem. Now, the question lies if he can perform well against the Bears first team defense.

The Denver Broncos are looking to solidify their offensive line. Last season was horrendous to watch the line get tossed around like rag dolls. It was even more painful to see the quarterback walk off the field after the game with a dirty jersey.

The goal for John Elway was to get his quarterback the protection he needs. Garett Bolles has shown so far that he can handle the workload. Not to mention the task of protecting the quarterback’s blind side.

I am interested to see how Garett Bolles does in his first game action of his NFL career. This man will be very successful in the league. As long as he continues to work hard, he will be a solid player.

Bolles has such a great opportunity to be a great player on the Broncos offensive line. This is especially true going up against the best defense in the league.

Keep an eye on Garett Bolles when he takes the field on Thursday. His first big test is quickly approaching.
