NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell met with Denver Broncos season ticket holders to discuss a wide variety of topics cogent to the NFL.
Thursday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell greeted Denver Broncos season ticket holders at a town hall meeting.
The meeting, which occurred at the team’s facility at Dove Creek, covered various topics.
These included the NFL’s declining ratings and the CTE epidemic that plagues the NFL.
The discussion was led by Broncos’ radio play-by-play man Dave Logan with president of football operations/general manager John Elway on hand as well.
Goodell revealed that a chance exists for the NFL Draft to be at 5,280 feet someday.
According to Nicki Jhabvala, Goodell believes the election caused a dip in ratings.
Brandon Marshall’s impact in the Denver community impressed Goodell.
As you may recall, Marshall, a college teammate of Colin Kaepernick’s at Nevada, knelt for the national anthem Week 1 of the 2016 season. Goodell confirmed Marshall and other players need to remember they are an “important voice” in leading in the community. In so doing, they must set a good example as they serve as community leaders, Goodell confirmed.
Perhaps of greatest importance to Broncos fans was Goodell’s assessment of how the team is being run.
In one of her tweets, Jhabvala confirmed that the NFL approves of their governance.
Medicinal marijuana use was also a hot topic, especially with Colorado’s status as a pro-marijuana state.

Goodell hopes that through research and medical opinions being shared properly, medicinal marijuana can be fairly used.
Thus, in any event, Goodell was measured and poised in his comments. He is ready for the advent of another NFL season.
