ORCHARD PARK, NY - DECEMBER 18: Tyrod Taylor

In Week Three, the Denver Broncos travel to New York to take on the Buffalo Bills. How will the team fare in their first road game of the season?

After two home games to kick off the 2017 campaign, the Denver Broncos travel to the east coast for their first of five games in the eastern time zone. Awaiting them in Buffalo is a Bills team that will look to improve from their 7-9 record a year ago.

Like the Denver Broncos, the Buffalo Bills will also have a new head coach in 2017. Rex Ryan was fired after the team was eliminated from the postseason around the Christmas holiday. In comes Sean McDermott, who was the former Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator.

A familiar face will be in Buffalo for this game as the Broncos former offensive coordinator RIck Dennison will be on the opposite sideline for this game. Dennison was the offensive coordinator for the Broncos the last two seasons.

The Buffalo Bills will be going under some changes for the 2017 season. But they still have some key players on the roster. Tyrod Taylor, who the Broncos were linked too some time ago, will be the quarterback. LeSean McCoy at running back will be an interesting test for the defensive front.

The Bills defense is a solid bunch, especially in the front seven. It will be interesting if the Broncos can score some points on them.

Let us take a look at what the Buffalo Bills have done this offseason.

2017 NFL Draft:

Tre’Davious White, Cornerback, Louisiana State University

Tanner Vallejo, Linebacker, Boise State

Key Signings: Stephen Hauschka, Corey Brown, Mike Tolbert

Key Departures: Stephon Gilmore (signed with New England), Robert Woods (signed with LA Rams)

Closing Remarks

This will be the second time in three weeks that the Denver Broncos will be going up against a team that has a new head coach. This will make it intriguing that the two teams get a key win in order to keep their season rolling in the right direction.

I could see this game being a defensive struggle. Both offenses have solid playmakers, but are led by quarterbacks that do not have a lot of experience. Buffalo and Denver are also led by first year head coaches, which makes this game even more intriguing.

The best thing for the Denver Broncos is that this game will be played in September. The weather should be nice for this game. And the Bills fans are quite an interesting bunch.

Next: Five Important Denver Broncos players for 2017

The last time Denver was in Buffalo, Tim Tebow was the quarterback. And it was not pretty for them. Three of Buffalo’s four touchdowns came by ways of their defense and special teams on that day.

It will be interesting to see how both these teams look in Week Three. It should be one of those games that could be very interesting in regards to team development.
