Henry Krieger-Coble shouldn’t be ignored when talking about the tight end race in Denver. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star was a practice squad member last year after contending for a roster spot. He eventually wound up on the active roster, making some contributions later in the season for the Broncos, and he’s the type of guy that could come in and push someone off the roster.

Krieger-Coble has soft hands and is very athletic. The Broncos were trying to get him to add some weight last offseason, so it’ll be interesting to note where that progress is at this point. He comes from an Iowa system that has traditionally produced some very good H-back style tight ends, most notably players like Dallas Clark who starred with the Indianapolis Colts.

Despite not being drafted, there were a lot of people expecting Krieger-Coble to crack the Broncos’ rotation last year, and ultimately, he wound up doing so. He’s another option to create mismatches down the middle of the field and help move the chains on third down.
