The Denver Broncos made somewhat of a surprising selection in the third round of this year’s draft when they took Brendan Langley out of Lamar University.

Langley is a former wide receiver turned cornerback who has excellent size for the cornerback position, strength, and deep speed. As a former receiver, Langley also has the type of ball skills that you covet in a cornerback prospect, but that’s not necessarily the skill that makes him a potential replacement for Will Parks.

Langley’s physicality will translate extremely well to special teams in the NFL, as well as his aforementioned speed and strength. He’s willing to get his hands dirty, which is great to see from a former receiver.

This is a player that has all of the physical tools to step in and contribute a ton on special teams.
