Video Highlights: Denver Broncos Draft De’Angelo Henderson
One Henderson is not enough for the Denver Broncos because they drafted De’Angelo Henderson out of Coastal Carolina in the sixth round.
The Denver Broncos add another small playmaker.
The Denver Broncos traded away Kapri Bibbs during the NFL Draft on Day Three. It became likely they would address the running back position once the trade became official. The Broncos aded more depth at the position. De’Angelo comes in and competes for the third running back spot, which he could land.
Special Teams coach Brock Olivo coached De’Angelo during time at Coastal Carolina as running backs coach. Olivo has familiarity with the Broncos sixth round pick putting his stamp in this draft. De’Angelo is a shifty back that presents good burst in a one-cut style running boding well to move up the depth chart. He has decent weight for being 5’7, but clearly plays better than his size indicates.
Clearly, the Broncos continue to add more playmakers on the offense. Remember, the team was near the bottom in converting on third down. De’Angelo is a decent player who might contribute given Juwan Thompson’s transition to fullback.
A running back backfield of C.J. Anderson, Devontae Booker, and De’Angelo Henderson should be very fun to watch during the 2017 NFL season for the Denver Broncos.
This backfield got a whole lot more interesting with this draft pick.
Attached are the highlights of the Coastal Carolina product to don the Denver Broncos uniform. Enjoy watching this sixth round draft pick.
