The Denver Broncos have drafted De’Angelo Henderson with their sixth round draft pick. How can he make an impact on the Broncos roster?

Just a few hours after trading Kapri Bibbs, the Denver Broncos have added their running back by drafting Coastal Carolina’s De’Angelo Henderson.

This move came as a bit of a surprise to me. However, there were not a lot of running backs on the board. This was made true when some of the key players on that board left in the earlier rounds.

De’Angelo Henderson has been compared to Branden Oliver. When Oliver was healthy, he was a solid back for the Los Angeles Chargers. Henderson can be a solid option once he can get the feet moving. His abilities to block on passing plays could benefit his spot on the roster as well.

He made so many huge plays during his time with Coastal Carolina. But will that develop into the NFL? How much of an impact can he make?

With Kapri Bibbs being traded to the San Francisco 49ers, De’Angelo Henderson will take his spot on the roster. He set many school records, which will make him quite the back to compete with C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker.

As far as his impact, I see him in a special teams role for the time being. But there is no doubt that he can benefit the Broncos once he is on the field on offense.

I believe he will have to wait a bit due to the big jump between his remarkable career and the NFL. He did not play a whole lot of big time competition.

Once he gets his feet on the ground in the NFL, this is a running back that can make some noise as a tail back for the Denver Broncos without question.
