Joshua Dobbs of Tennessee is one of the most interesting players in the draft to me. There aren’t many guys in the history of the SEC who accomplished what he did, and achieved the kind of individual success he did.

One of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country this past season, Dobbs shredded opposing defenses to the tune of 39 total touchdowns (27 passing, 12 rushing) with just 11 interceptions.

He showed off exceptional athleticism at the 2017 Scouting Combine, running the 40-yard dash in 4.63 seconds and ranking at or near the top of every drill among the quarterbacks who participated.

In addition to Dobbs’ athleticism, he was also one of the most accurate deep-ball passers in the country. Of course, he played in an offense that allowed him to get rid of the ball quickly at times, but Dobbs also has the ‘clutch’ gene and proved it with some big time throws this past season.

Dobbs also has impressed a lot of people with his rocket science major at Tennessee…

…no, seriously.

He majored in Aerospace Engineering at Tennessee, and was a part-time star football player in the process. Like the aforementioned Brad Kaaya, Dobbs’ intangibles are off the charts. As the NFL undoubtedly will be seeking this year’s version of Dak Prescott, I think they need to look no further than Dobbs, who is worthy of a second or third round pick.
