2. Jeff Heuerman
As was mentioned earlier, Heuerman’s rookie season was wiped out by an ACL injury suffered in the first rookie minicamp of the offseason. There’s no way to truly quantify what his absence meant for the team, but we can assume he would have made a significant impact based on the way coaches were talking about him.
What He Brings to the Table
Heuerman is a big body at the tight end position who isn’t a burner but he has good speed for his size and is obviously a very long, strong player. Coming from Ohio State, he’s well-versed in blocking for the running game but he also helped out in pass protection at times. He has strong hands and the size to be a red zone threat, which the Broncos lacked badly last year. I think Heuerman will step in and have an impact immediately.
