1. Virgil Green

Green, a former 7th round pick in John Elway’s first draft with the Broncos (back in 2011) finally has a chance to enter training camp as the undisputed top tight end on the team. That is something that he has certainly earned over the years, making his mark on special teams and as a blocking tight end.

What He Brings to the Table

Green is an athletic option at the tight end position with great deep speed and a nasty disposition. He has developed his blocking skills much better than any draft pundit could have anticipated, and while his stats haven’t been anything that will put him on a Pro Bowl ballot, Green’s contributions have been invaluable to this team.

Will this finally be the year he emerges as the team’s top tight end? He certainly has the skill set to excel in the Gary Kubiak offense. Now it’s time to make him a focal point.
