Kansas City Chiefs

Significant additions: Mitchell Schwartz, 9 players on NFLN Top 100

Significant loss(es): Jamaal Charles’ helmet, 2nd place in AFC West

Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on all of their accomplishments this offseason. They wanted Paxton Lynch, but the Broncos jumped ahead of them to get him.

So, sorry for that…

They lost Justin Houston, possibly for the entire season, due to ACL and LCL surgery. I’m not going to make light of that, because it sucks to see a guy get injured and have to miss that kind of significant time.

However, I am going to make light of the fact that somehow, some way, the Chiefs managed to have nine players on the NFL Network’s annual Top 100 players list, which is also annually the dumbest list known to mankind.

I don’t know that I could name nine Chiefs players off the top of my head, certainly not nine who would be considered among the best 100 players in the league. I think I could name 100 players in the league that I’d rather have than whatever nine players the Chiefs put on that list. But congratulations for being the most overrated team of individual stars in the league for another season, Kansas City 😉

The Chiefs’ losses this offseason were significant. Jamaal Charles’ helmet is lost, despite the fact that he was able to hold on to it after this disaster in week 2 of last season:

Simply stunning. The other significant loss for the Chiefs this offseason? Well, they managed to lose 2nd place in the AFC West, which will likely now belong to the Oakland Raiders.

The good news for the Chiefs is, they managed to throw a touchdown to a wide receiver last year. Multiple, in fact.

FINAL GRADE: 3, for 3rd place
