The Denver Broncos now have the final roster that will compete for a championship in the 2015 season. Before the 4 PM EST deadline, the Broncos waived/released 20 players.

The final 53 man roster features three quarterbacks, Montee Ball making the final roster, and some surprises. Do not forget that T.J. Ward and Derek Wolfe will start serving their suspensions to begin the season. So, in reality, the Broncos have 55 men on the roster.

Here is a list of the players that were waived/released and follow the link for the 53-man roster.

Some of the surprises from the roster cuts were Steven Johnson and Ben Garland. Garland started training camp as the starting left guard. However, once he was passed on the roster, the lack of versatility kept him on the outside looking in.

Steven Johnson was perhaps the biggest surprise cut of them all. He happened to be the first one that was reported to been cut. It was reported that special teams performance was the reason that he was let go.

Now looking at the final roster, the only big surpris on the players that made the roster in my opinion is Lerentee McCray. He spent most of training camp and preseason injured. Most believed that he would just be placed on IR, but Gary Kubiak announced in the press conference that he is recovering well.

Now that the 53-men have been announced, the team will look to prepare for their Week One matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.

On Sunday, the Broncos can start building the practice squad. Once players pass through waivers at around 11 AM MST, the team can start adding players to that ten man roster.

It is a day of excitement or sorrow for every player in the NFL today. Some dreams were made while others were crushed. Wishing the best for each and every player going forward.
