Making the case for Dez Bryant

Viewed by most as the top wideout in fantasy football, Dez Bryant is coming off of a monster 2014 campaign.

He set the Cowboys’ single-season record for receiving touchdowns with 16. While Bryant was targeted just 136 times overall, he managed to crank out 1,320 receiving yards on 88 catches.

Moving forward into the upcoming season, those numbers should increase. All-Pro running back Demarco Murray moved on from the team this offseason and Dallas might need to turn to the passing game in order to right the ship when their offense stalls out.

Murray also had 12 touchdowns in the red zone last season. Bryant should be the lucky recipient of at least some of those scores. Could he top his record-breaking touchdown total? Maybe so.

Count on Bryant to put up similar numbers from 2014. Much like Demaryius Thomas, Bryant will be long gone by the second-round in nearly all fantasy drafts.
