I think this is a great deal for everyone involved. Demaryius seems to love playing in Denver and the fans love having him. They’ve each been through a lot together throughout his five years here. DT has been a constant with all the changes that have occurred throughout that time.

I was a bit worried he would try to chase the money instead of the wins, which is totally well within his right. But I think both sides found middle ground, which is great to see.

The bottom line is I’m glad DT is back. I had some pretty terse words for him when I saw the type of money he was demanding. But it still didn’t feel right. It felt like I was kicking a puppy. Ultimately, Demaryius seems like a great guy from afar and someone all fans can root for.
