The Broncos have named Sylvester Williams the #1 nose tackle this season, and you have to think fellow former Tar Heel Marvin Austin is firmly entrenches as the backup. For those two reasons, Kilgo’s roster spot might not be guaranteed but the Broncos obviously liked his potential and saw him as a developmental prospect.

I don’t think the practice squad is out of question, nor is the 53-man roster. Kilgo is a disruptive interior presence that struggled some with consistency at Maryland, but physically he has what it takes to play in the NFL.

I think we’ll see Kilgo competing for more playing time in 2016 than in 2015, but he’s an option if the Broncos feel he can contribute to the defensive line early in his career. For now, I’m going to project the practice squad for him in 2015.
