For all the talk about his inconsistencies at Ohio State, Bradley Roby had a pretty awesome rookie season out of Ohio State. He was all over the field making plays, establishing himself as the team’s nickel cornerback and proving he could handle some of the biggest spots in the biggest games.
Ruby’s physical ability has always been there, but if/when he figures out the game mentally, he’s going to be a #1 caliber cornerback. The Broncos probably didn’t even know they were going to be getting such solid production out of him in year one, but they did.
Roby gives the Broncos assurance in case of injury, but he will also factor into the base defense, which could wind up being a lot more nickel than not. I’m really excited to see how far he’s come since even just the end of last season.
