With confusion and dismay, the entire team suffered setbacks, and they still almost won. The third quarter showed flashes of how great this team can be. The weather was bad, and while that should never be an excuse, it affected the Broncos more than the Bengals. However, this is not the end of the world.
The media is briskly jumping off the Broncos bandwagon. No one believes Denver can beat the Patriots now. Denver is going to hear about this for the next several weeks. Good. That should put a nice big chip on their shoulder. Imagine how scary this Broncos team will be when they have something to prove. Is there room for improvement? Sure, but the Broncos will have people saying the words, “can’t,” and, “won’t,” for the next few weeks. It is stunning what teams can do when they hear those words.
