Mr. Irrelevant is on the path to recovery. Chad Kelly, the Denver Broncos quarterback, will have his cast removed from his wrist on Monday.

While the battle between Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch goes on, there is good news in regards to Denver’s other quarterback on the roster. Chad Kelly and the Broncos have found out that the cast on the wrist of Kelly will be removed on Monday.

According to Mike Klis, the rookie from Ole Miss will be able to shed the shell on his right wrist. However, he is not out of the woods just yet. Chad Kelly will still need to wait at least the rest of the summer before he can throw the football.

This is good news for the rookie quarterback, who is well on his way to recovery. He has been watching the quarterback battle go on during OTA’s in hopes he can provide some competition later on this summer.

It is still a long ways until he is completely healthy. Kelly is also recovering from ACL surgery. That on its own will take some time before it is completely ready. From there, we shall see how he does when it comes to game action.

Chad Kelly has had quite a few off the field issues as well as his inability to stay healthy. But myself, as well as others around the Broncos Community, believe that he can be a special talent in the league.

There just seems to be so much hidden potential within Chad Kelly. For all we know, once 2018 comes around, he could be the quarterback the Denver Broncos have been searching for.

Of course, we must focus on 2017 first, but it does not hurt to be excited about a possible future with Chad Kelly behind center. I am excited to see what he has to offer.
