The Denver Broncos have added a familiar face to the roster as the team decided to bring back Billy Winn on a one year deal.

With the team looking to add pieces to the puzzle for a championship run, the Denver Broncos brought back a familiar face.

The team re-signed defensive end Billy Winn to a deal. In order to make move, the Broncos waived defensive end Bobby Richardson.

Billy Winn played in all 16 games for the Denver Broncos in 2016. This includes two starts. In those games, Winn recorded 19 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Winn was mostly used as a backup. But for all the injuries that the Denver Broncos had during the season, he did find himself with some good playing time.

As far as Bobby Richardson, we will not get to see what he can do. The Broncos signed him just two months ago.

I believe Billy Winn will be a solid addition to the defense. He gives the team some solid depth addition and can make an impact on special teams if called upon.

I honestly believe that the Denver Broncos probably did not bring him back once free agency began because they wanted to see how the offseason would go.

With so many uncertainties on the team, it makes sense to find out who they could sign or draft to make the best team going into camp.

Once the pieces came into play, it would be important to add some veteran experience. I believe that Billy Winn could be that veteran presence.

Especially when it comes to the young guys. Having new guys coming in via the draft and free agency, they will need someone to help them out.

Spelling the starters for a play or two could come in handy too. But we shall see what the Broncos decide for Billy Winn. Happy to have him back.
