Retired QB Peyton Manning Would Have Made NFL Top 100
By Tylor Walden
When it comes to the NFL Top 100, players that retired in the offseason could not be considered on the list. However, the network was able to show us where players that retired would have been, and Peyton Manning would have made the list.
I know most of you who are reading this are probably tired of hearing of the NFL Top 100. No worries, this will be the last time you here about it at Predominantly Orange until next offseason.
As we all know, the list concluded Wednesday with Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton earning the honors of top player of the 2015 season. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was the No. 2 player of 2015. I will admit, I did joke about it when I heard.
But that is besides the point. In the second hour of Wednesday’s show, they gave us a list of players who would have made it had they not hung up the cleats at the end of this season.
Peyton Manning, the Broncos quarterback who put in so much work for the team in his four seasons with Denver, would have made the Top 100 had he not called it quits.

It was revealed that had Manning not retired, he would have been No. 35 on the list, which means he would be right in between Demarcus Ware and Aqib Talib on the list. Although, I am certain that it would just simply mean there would be a few players that are on the list that would not be on it.
For the season that Peyton Manning had, it is quite great to see that he was still getting recognized as one of the top players in the NFL by his peers.
With the potential of him being at No. 35, it is quite a generous place to have him placed. But I would not argue it at all. With all he had done for the sport and especially the Broncos, I would be okay with him at No. 35.
Okay, now I am done talking about the NFL Top 100. Until next year that is. Where would you have placed Peyton Manning on the list had he not retired? Leave your answers in the comments below. Go Broncos!
