Just a few hours after Brock Osweiler lead the Broncos to a 17-15 victory over the Chicago Bears, the media has found some way to bring Peyton Manning back into the discussion.
On the pregame show Football Night in America, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk noted that Manning wants to return in 2016 even if it is not with the Broncos. Tony Dungy even gave his two cents and stated that he “hasn’t heard anything because he and Manning are close.”
I will begin by saying that it is very bad timing for them to begin this rumor report. Brock Osweiler just got his first career win as a starting quarterback just a few hours ago. To have this come out shortly after the game is just inexcusable in my honest opinion.
Manning has been an idol and a fan favorite for so many people for so long. I honestly would not want to see him return because of his injuries. Not to mention that he will be 40 years old in 2016. That makes his body so much more vulnerable to even more injuries that could really do some damage.
In all honesty, like I have heard from a friend. Manning, go get healthy, live your life. Be a father. I would hate to see him get hurt again.
Manning has done great things here in Denver. I honestly would say that I wouldn’t think too much into this until after the season. It will be something worth keeping an eye on, but right now is not that time.
I believe that the Broncos have such a bright future with Brock Osweiler at the helm. Sunday afternoon, Osweiler went out basically to show the organization what he has and he did really well from what I saw. The offense, for the first time this season, did not turn the ball over.

Next week, we will all be paying attention to the health status of Manning. If he can’t go, I am comfortable with Osweiler starting against the Patriots.
As for these rumors, bad timing. Wait until after the season. Let us get through 2015 before we even think about 2016.
