The roster has been cut down to 75 men and now the Denver Broncos prepare these men for what could be their final game in a Broncos uniform as the team takes on the Arizona Cardinals Thursday night.

In this game, both teams will most likely send out the reserves. Both Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer are set to start for the Broncos and Cardinals in Week 1 respectively, so they both will most likely sit this game out.

For the Broncos, we will get to see more of Brock Osweiler. This will most likely be his final chance to prove to the team that he is the quarterback of the future. If he succeeds Thursday night, I would not be surprised if the Broncos offered him a contract extension.

This game will also be a big test for Montee Ball. As we have talked about this week, Montee Ball is most likely on the bubble. He needs a spectacular performance on Thursday to keep his roster spot.

Even though that the roster has been set to 75 players, there could be a chance that the Broncos trade for some depth on either the offensive or defensive line. Perhaps that will be true within the next few days.

Speaking of defense, the Broncos defense has been spectacular during the preseason. The unit as a whole as only allowed one touchdown. The other two were scored by the opponent’s defense or special teams. Quite a remarkable feat for the unit.

The Cardinals are looking to end the preseason on a high note and build off of a 30-23 win against Oakland last week.

Let us dive into this matchup and see what can fans expect from the Broncos and this game that will determine the fate of quite a bit of players.
