It’s been an extremely exhausting 24 hours, but we finally made it to Denver Broncos training camp and we have plenty to discuss from Cody Latimer to Brock Osweiler, and plenty more.

I arrived at camp around 8:30 AM local time, roughly an hour before practice just to get situated with my surroundings. Undoubtedly, since I haven’t been to the Broncos’ training facility as a member of the media since Tim Tebow’s rookie year (yeah, it’s been awhile) the new complex was both stunning and intimidating.

I walked into team headquarters where two Lombardi trophies were prominently displayed among a host of other historic pieces of Broncos history, hopefully ominous of the season forthcoming.

Making my way out onto the field after checking the area out, it should have come as no surprise that left guard Ben Garland was the first player out on the field roughly 20 minutes before practice. Garland, a military man, certainly operates under the ‘if you’re on time, you’re late’ law and didn’t waste any time getting to work.

Players slowly came out onto the field individually, and then in larger groups as we got closer to the start of practice at 9:30.

I was greeted prior to practice by Andrew Mason, a Denver Broncos writing legend and one of my biggest inspirations to write. We chatted about the Broncos, baseball, and family before discussing the fact that Monday was Peyton Manning’s routine day off. Gary Kubiak is implementing this for a number of veterans, which brings me to my first training camp observation of the day.
