If Peyton Manning and his offense show up in New Jersey, this game won’t be close.

If DeMarcus Ware, Von Miller and that defense play as tough and mean as they did against the Arizona Cardinals, this game won’t be close.

The New York Jets are awful. There is nothing about this team that is good. The defense has its moments and head coach Rex Ryan knows how to create problems for Manning.

But this whole, “any given Sunday” nonsense is just that. These two teams aren’t close and the Broncos should at least do what they did to Arizona. And that better be Denver’s mental approach to the Jets because after them, it faces San Francisco, San Diego and New England.

The Broncos (3-1) have no room for a blunder in New Jersey. With the Chargers playing Oakland and then hosting Kansas City, they should come to Denver 6-1. A loss to the Jets would set the Broncos a game back.

With that in mind, here’s the 5 key matchups for Sunday’s game.
