The Denver Broncos, as any good team should, have prepared for the future by taking Brock Osweiler in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, specifically as the heir to Peyton Manning whenever he decides to be done playing football.

As Osweiler has grown in the Broncos’ system, so has apparently interest in him around the league. According to Peter Burns of 104.3 FM in Denver, the Broncos have received interest from a few teams in Osweiler, but have let it be known that he’s not for sale.

It’s not a surprise that teams are calling about a young quarterback like Osweiler, who has intriguing size and a good arm, especially a guy who has been learning from one of the greatest offensive minds the NFL has ever known.

Obviously, Osweiler will create his own NFL story, and the Broncos believe he is part of their future. As of right now, we are unaware of any plans for this team to deal Osweiler, but if they were to entertain trade offers for the third year pro, it would mean they are very pleased with the development of 2013 seventh rounder Zac Dysert.
