With all of the Ryan Clady news, it may have been easy to miss a couple of players breaking news via Twitter earlier on Monday. Both Robert Ayers (DE) and Duke Ihenacho (SS) confirmed via their personal Twitter accounts that they are fine after suffering injuries in Sunday’s win over the New York Giants.

The news on both of these guys is really positive for the Broncos, who really can’t afford many more big injuries with Clady now out for the foreseeable future and Champ Bailey’s situation in question. Until Von Miller is back from suspension, the Broncos are hoping the football gods smile down upon them and keep their players relatively unscathed. Bangs and bruises happen, and it looks like that was the case with these two defenders.

These guys are not doctors, and of course they are going to want to play on one of the biggest stages in professional sports on Monday Night Football, but we really have no reason not to take them at their word.

For what it’s worth, though, Ryan Clady was quoted after the Giants game as saying he thought he’d be okay as well. That may well be the case, but reports seem to indicate otherwise.

Expect Ayers and Ihenacho to play against the Raiders next week until further notice.
