One of my favorite posts of the year has to be the one that I do on the last day of every year. It was a theatrical year for the Denver Broncos which made our jobs here at PO fun beyond belief.

Here are PO’s top 12 stories of 2012 as measured by number of page views. Sit back, relax, and let’s reflect on the exciting year that was for the Broncos.

12. Peyton Manning Ribs Eric Dekcer for Hitting the Deck

The Broncos were falling into that 24-0 hole against the San Diego Chargers, and Decker would have had a touchdown free and clear if only he could have stayed on his feet. We can look back and laugh now, and that’s exactly what Manning did on the plane ride back to Denver.

11. Broncos Fan Watches Team while Fighting his own Battle

As Galen Batson fights a brain tumor, he pulls strength from the guys in orange and blue. In actuality, the Broncos could easily pull more strength from Galen.

6. Mile High Monday: Mock Draft 1.0

Chris Krier had the Broncos taking a defensive tackle with their first pick, but it wasn’t Derek Wolfe. Take a look at Krier’s mock draft and compare it to what actually went down.

5. Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots: Playoff Game Preview

It was the biggest game in years, and the Broncos were playing with house money. No one expected them to advance to the divisional round.

4. Broncos To Place Tebow on Trade Block

After the Broncos signed Peyton Manning, Tebow was immediately put on the market. That elicited polarizing responses around Broncos Country. I don’t think anyone is complaining now though.

3. Tim Tebow’s 316 Stuff of Legends

The Broncos just beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs, and Tebow’s popularity was at an all-time high, much to Merril Hoge’s dismay.

2. Peyton Manning is a Denver Bronco!

What happened on March 19, 2012 will forever be etched in our minds. Manning was the biggest free agent on the market, and John Elway landed him as smooth as an F-16 pilot.

1. Von Miller Promoting Gatorade at Super Bowl XLVI

Von Miller is one of the most explosive guys off the line, but he’s also a powerful Gatorade chugger. Watch the video to see for your own eyes.
