On a day where head coaches and quarterbacks give sound bytes, Wednesday’s transcripts read more like a Valentine’s Day card between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots.

Of course there’s mutual admiration between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, but there’s also mutual regard between John Fox and Bill Belichick.

“I think John (Fox) does a real good job,” Belichick said. “I think he’s one of the toughest guys to coach against in the league. They have a very good staff and a lot of good players. They’ve gone toe to toe with two of the best teams in the league in Atlanta and Houston.”

Fox repaid the compliment.

“He’s been doing it a long time at a high level,” Fox said of Brady. “He’s a great player. As I’ve said about our guy (Manning), I’m sure a first-ballot hall of famer along with his head coach, Bill Belichick.”

Fox has watched a lot of tape of Manning against the Patriots.

“To kind of see how they defended them and what not,” Fox said. “Nothing stays the same. They’ve got different players, we’ve got different players. Last year is last year, this year is this year. We’ll be excited .I’m sure they’re going to do a great job in their game planning. I can assure you we will too.”

With that, another epic battle is set to go down with a new surrounding cast, but the same stars.
