Day one of Broncos OTA’s is in the books. It was a media circus as Peyton Manning took the field for his first official “non-practice” as a Bronco. According to many sources, we don’t have much to worry about as far as Manning’s arm strength. Take a look at this video to see for yourself.

It’s been a year and a half since Manning has participated in a practice of this caliber.

“If you’re dealing with the physical part, he’s getting better every day,” John Fox said. “We’re excited about where he is.”

Up until now, Manning and his receivers have only been able to work on timing. Now they get to go up against something other than air.

” I really need to use this time,” Manning said Monday morning. “I do think there’s a difference when you are on the field in helmets going against the defense…This will be great work for me going against Champ Bailey, and Von Miller, and Elvis (Dumervil), (Tracy) Porter, Drayton Florence. We’ve got three great cover corners to work against.”

As for his first OTA, Manning was pleased with the effort on day one.

“I thought the tempo of the practice was excellent,” Manning said. “Guys flying around, fast moving practice, upbeat, and that’s the way I like to work.”

Manning’s voice could reportedly be heard as much as Coach Fox’s voice.

“As much as he’s accomplished on the field, the things he does of the field in the leadership role is tremendous,” Fox said.

Things look a Mile Up in Broncos Country.
