Saint Meets Sinner, Tebow Traded To Jets

Tim Tebow is now a lean mean green machine.

It didn’t take long for the Denver Broncos front office to trade Tebow after the arrival of Peyton Manning. In a trade with the New York Jets, the Broncos will get a 4th and 6th round draft pick in exchange for Tebow and a 7th round pick.

Tebowmania will meet New York City, perhaps the only city as big as Tebow’s popularity.

The Jets saw Tebow at his best in a November game in Denver when he led a 95-yard game winning drive. In fact, Jets head coach Rex Ryan had to be attended to by an EMS unit before the team plane left Denver. Turns out it was a case of indigestion caused by a postgame meal. Needless to say an impression was made.

Tebow and Ryan have the same agent in Jimmy Sexton, and current Jets’ quarterback Mark Sanchez needs someone to push him on and off the field to be a better player and leader, respectively. The fit looks right.

Oddly enough, Jets’ cornerback Antonio Cromarie made this comment Tuesday on his Twitter page.

"We don’t need Tebow. We sell out every home game let him go to Jacksonville Tampa or Miami. Our wildcat offense can b ran by J. Kerley or Joe McKnight we straight. – Antonio Cromartie"

We wish Tebow the best of luck, and hey, here’s one more reason to cheer against the Patriots.
