Super Bowl week continues, and I’m going to throw something out there for the guys reading this. Instead of bringing just beer to the Super Bowl party you’re going to, step outside the box, and try a new recipe. As a woman, I’m not the greatest cook in the world. In fact, I like to use a quote from Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City) when asked about my skills in the kitchen…”The only thing I’ve ever successfully made in the kitchen is a mess. And several little fires.” However, I’ve stumbled upon a no-fail, kick-ass recipe that only requires you [...]

Super Bowl Snack
Grab A Cold One On Sunday
The Super Bowl is nearly upon us, and frankly, Sunday wouldn’t mean a thing if we weren’t eating wings, drinking beer, and watching football. Just to keep us on the couch all afternoon, advertisers select their best commercials and pay millions of dollars to make us remember their product. Well, because it’s the middle of the week, and you need a little break from your work week as well as a preview to the Super Bowl, I’m going to provide you with this link. It comes from On Irish Road . Those fine folks over there break down the 43 Greatest Beer Commercials. Go to [...]
There’s a jogging path right next to Invesco Field. I went for a run on this path yesterday, and as I passed the stadium, I actually thought about ticket prices for next year. To my surprise, the Denver Post reported yesterday afternoon that the Broncos would not raise ticket prices for next season. Someone finally realized that the weak economy could keep fans away. The seating prices are as follows:
Lower bowl, sideline: $110
Lower bowl, corners: $95
Lower bowl plaza/end zone: $77
Upper bowl, sideline: $63
Upper bowl, corners: $58
Upper bowl, end zone: $42
How do the Broncos compare with other NFL teams as far as prices [...]
A Weekend Without Football
It was our first weekend without football since August, and luckily I was a little too distracted to care. I had a big writing assignment due, and the X-games were on, so that one football-less week didn’t kill me. There was still a ton of Super Bowl coverage on anyway. However, I am a little concerned once the Super Bowl is over. It’s not every week that someone throws a double backflip on a snowmobile to make you forget that there won’t be football on Sunday. We are forced to adjust to lazy Sunday afternoons just as the rest of the non-football watching folk have [...]

John Elway V. Bon Jovi
I’m posting this video for a couple of reasons, even though it is from last year. First off, I’m doing it in honor of John Elway who will take part in the coin toss at this year’s Super Bowl. He will take center stage nearly 10 years to the day after he won Super Bowl XXXIII. Secondly, football in the state of Colorado will start again soon. The arena football league team, the Colorado Crush, begin their season at the beginning of March. Finally, it’s pretty funny when Elway tells somebody that he’s Brett Favre just to avoid embarrassment.
Not much in the way of news, but here are some interesting links:
- Looks like Josh McDaniels will be buying a lot of lunches.
- Speaking of McDaniels, find out what his former coach, Bill Belichick, had to say about him.
- Quarterback coach, Jeremy Bates, is headed to USC.
- Here’s a list of the 46 college players who have declared for the NFL draft.
- In case you missed it, Casey Wiegmann is going to the Pro Bowl.
- Find out what Jake Plummer thinks about Mike Shanahan’s firing.
- Mike McCoy is the new offensive coordinator for the Broncos. He comes to us [...]
The Bird’s The Word In Arizona
Ironically, the same week that a new president is inaugurated into the White House, a new NFL team is inaugurated into the Super Bowl. At the beginning of the season, I would’ve never predicted the Cardinals and the Steelers to be playing in the title game. Admit it. You didn’t either. The Cowboys and Chargers, the Giants and Patriots. Now, that made sense!
I suppose I’m rooting for the Cardinals because I have some ties to the state. I went to graduate school in AZ and the Cardinals held their training camp at my University in the summer time. I went [...]
Life is never dull in an NFL off season. It’s been 3 weeks since the Broncos last took to a football field. They they have a new coaching staff, possibly a new defensive scheme, and a new outlook on football. Out with the old and in with the new has been the theme lately. However, bringing in the old to help the new is something that Josh McDaniels will need to consider.
Former Bronco, Bill Romanowski, may rejoin the Broncos as a specialist. No, not a tackling specialist, but a nutrition specialist. Romo will be meeting with McDaniels to discuss a new position that caters [...]
