Two summers ago I went to the Broncos training camp while I was on vacation. I saw Jerry Rice trying to make it one more season as one of the best receivers in the NFL. I also saw Jake Plummer trying to get his football career off the ground for the 6th season in a row. Middle finger right back to ya, Jake!
This brings me to the point that I want to make. NFL players have a difficult time determining when to retire. Basketball is different, with the exception of Jordan, because players know when their time has come. Their asses are usually a little [...]

Bear Goggles
Check out Fan-Sided’s newest addition: Bear Goggles
They provide the latest information about the Chicago Bears. Check out today’s post that includes a mock Britany Spears Rex Grossman video!
Good thing the Broncos only have one Manning QB to worry about during the regular season. According to Paul Schwartz at the NY Post, Eli is looking more like his older brother each game.
Speaking of QB’s, how about the scene in Chicago with Brian Griese taking over for Rex Grossman. It’s too bad Chi-town fans believe in a washed up QB who couldn’t bring his one time Bronco team deep into the playoffs. I forsee chants of “Grossman, Grossman” by the middle of the 3rd quarter.
As the Packers play the Vikings this Sunday, will Brett Farve eclipse Dan Marino’s TD [...]
Tryouts!
After getting steamrolled by the vaunted Jacksonville offense last Sunday, the Broncos turned to their crack scouting group to turn up the best unemployed defenders this country has to offer. A quick look at the candidates and some suggestions for where to turn next.
A.J. Nicholson, LB — A former fifth-round pick of the Bengals, Nicholson was waived after a domestic violence charge in Kentucky. Jesus, it takes a lot to get cut from the Bengals for committing a crime. Regardless, if he hits defenders like he’s hits women, he’ll be a force to be reckoned with.
Derrick Strait, CB – Strait [...]
Ok, I know. My crystal ball wasn’t exactly working yesterday. Not only did the Broncos lose 23-14, but they were physically out-played.
During the Jaguars first drive down field, they chewed over 11 minutes off the clock. You might as well ask Denver’s defense to run a marathon and then beat the Jags in a 100 meter sprint at the end of the game. A side lined John Lynch didn’t help things either against a bulldozing Fred Taylor.
With the Denver defense on the field for the majority of the game, Denver’s offense was stuck on the sideline doing things such [...]
Week 3 Prediction: Broncos Win
It’s officially fall. Is it ever going to cool down in Colorado? Not today as the Broncos play the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Terrell Davis being inducted into the Broncos’ Ring of Fame, Invesco Field should be hotter than ever.
My predictions for this week:
The Broncos will end week 3 with a 3-0 record.
Britney Spears and/or O.J. Simpson will be arrested again.
Jason Elam will convert on all of his field goal attempts.
“America’s Team,” the Cowboys, will have their first loss of the season.
The Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and the San Diego Chargers will lose this week.
Yeah, I said it!
To all Denver area hospitals,
Please keep watch over the cardiac care unit this Sunday as the Broncos play the 1-1 Jaguars. Monitor all heart patients between the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm as the Broncos attempt to beat a team by more than 3 points. Get the oxygen ready because as Jacksonville players bury their faces in oxygen masks here in the mile-high city, your patients could be needing the extra air too. Lately, the games have been too close for comfort, and the kicking game has become more important than a keg at a frat party.

This is Denver Defense, Baby
This is how our Denver Broncos are going to shut ‘em down all year long. The Champ Bailey pick at the end is just sick, too.
