The Denver Broncos face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6, and it's not going to be an easy task. Even if the Broncos were fully healthy, this matchup would be a handful. Had quarterback Bo Nix not broken his ankle last year in the Divisional Round, there is a very real chance this matchup in Week 6 would have been last year's Super Bowl.
Perhaps the two teams could meet in February of 2027...?
Anyway, on the eve of Thursday Night Football, let's dive into key injury news, top storylines, and a prediction.
Everything you need to know for the Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos Week 6 showdown
Injury News
The Broncos will be down Patrick Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga in this game, and safety Riley Moss is questionable:

Even if Moss plays, this secondary is straight-up hurt.
Hufanga went down in Week 5 and did not return. Devon Key figures to step into his starting role, and we could even see veteran safety Taylor Rapp get called up from the practice squad as well.
The Seahawks aren't quite as banged up, but they'll be down a pair of linebackers in Chazz Surratt and Drake Thomas, and also won't yet have running back Zach Charbonnet:

Top Storyline
The top storyline in this one might actually be Nix himself, as he really revealed a lot during a media session on Tuesday, and a ton of people are running with it. Nix is trying to balance being aggressive with not putting the ball in harm's way, and some have wondered exactly why he hasn't looked himself thus far.
And that's really the big thing here - Nix doesn't look like the player we've seen in prior seasons, and even Sam Darnold has struggled to begin the year. The struggles of both QBs might be something that gets talked about during the pregame festivities and into the game.
Whichever QB plays better is likely the winner.
Prediction
The Broncos are short-handed in this game and might end up missing Moss, Surtain, and Hufanga on the backend of the defense, and other key role players in Pat Bryant and Jonah Coleman are also out. The Seahawks are a bit healthier and do sport the best unit of what we'll see on the field on both sides of the ball, as their defense is flat-out excellent.
Denver's pass rush should be able to force Darnold into some questionable decisions, but the Broncos have to be able to get home with the secondary so banged up. Not only that, but the team needs to somehow figure out a way for Jaxon Smith-Njigba not to totally burn them, which is much easier said than done.
On offense, Denver likely needs at least two touchdown drives here, and one of them taking a ton of time off the clock would be ideal. Establishing the run is again going to be a priority, as it's not something this team has been able to do all year.
In a back and forth game, we're predicting a slight Seahawks victory.
