The Denver Broncos did shop Jerry Jeudy during the 2022 season but did not get what they were looking for. Could they trade him for the right price in the 2023 offseason?
Jeudy's 2022 season ended in him nearly hitting the 1,000-yard receiving mark. Although, he did manage to have over 1,000 scrimmage yards. Jeudy has been up and down for most of his career. He has struggled with injuries and perhaps a very small case of the drops.
The chemistry he developed with Russell Wilson towards the end of the season is undeniable, and Jeudy did break out as a true WR1 type of player that many thought he'd become.
According to a report, Jeudy was available for trade during the 2022 season but apparently, no team was willing to give up what it would take. Well, after a strong finish, the third-year receiver's value is surely a bit higher than it was in the middle of the season.
With that said, could the Denver Broncos somehow get more than what they were originally asking for in a potential trade?
I'm not sure what the asking price would be, but his value has never been higher during his career and being that the Broncos are tight on draft capital, it could make sense to at least answer the phones. Perhaps a second-round pick would get the deal done?
The New England Patriots have a need at the position and have never really been able to draft quality receivers, so testing the free agency market and potentially making a deal or two could be an option for them.
I also think this could be something that the team could pull off if they were able to snag a free agent wide receiver who could perhaps fill some of the void left by Jeudy. I'm not sure if Jakobi Meyers would fit in Denver, but he's a free agent and a very solid wide receiver.
Think of it this way, would you rather have Jakobi Meyers and a second round pick or Jerry Jeudy?
